Test Well production analysis and Economic Forecast
An important part of any basin analysis is to be able to predict using quantitative data, the productive capabilities of groundwater aquifers before a well completion program is even designed, or a test well advanced. Bonkowski geologists have developed an approach to this predictive process which is modeled upon the use of numerical pump test data, continunity of sediments, porosity and permeability values of aquifers, and sediment or rock core properties.
Its not enough to be able to predict where groundwater resources might be developed, the economics of production are an important part of the feasibility analysis of any well field project. BAI engineers and geologists evaluated the existing infrastructure in close proximity to proposed well sites, and evaluated the practicalities associated with incorporating well sites into the City's water supply. The cost of setting up test locations to bench scale this analysis was reviewed with the City, allowing City engineers to determine the correct well sites for their project.
subsurface exploration and mapping services
Bonkowski geologists have been able to characterize hydrogeologic properties of eight separate major hydrogeologic units beneath the Santa Clara Valley. This mapping project utilized information obtained from core analysis, pump tests, water quality data, isotope analysis, groundwater modeling, and the following geophysical logs:
- Gamma Ray Logging
- Spontaneous Potential Logging
- Caliper
- Short Normal and Long Resistivity Logging
- Temperature and Video Logging
