Mr. Bonkowski has a broad background in environmental geology, engineering geology, groundwater hydrology; and business administration. Mr. Bonkowski founded the firm in 1992 after practicing for 12 years with Chevron USA and Woodward-Clyde Consultants. He has provided professional services to private and public corporations, major and independent petrochemical companies, law firms, real estate developers, and governmental agencies involved with complex pollution of soil and groundwater. He has conducted basin analysis investigations to evaluate and develop groundwater resources, evaluated construction dewatering projects, and completed aquifer and oil field formation evaluations. He is intimately familiar with injection well design and evaluation, water supply wells, landfill capping and seepage evaluations, CERCLA, RCRA, RI/FS, hydrogeologic evaluations, hydraulic control and dewatering systems, environmental site sssessments, risk assessments, and permitting; remediation system design, construction and operation, and Site closure. His 26 years of experience also includes oil and gas field development, minerals exploration, seismic hazard evaluation, offshore oil and gas field platform foundation and seismic studies, USGS MMS surveys, subsurface stratigraphic and structural mapping, and well-site geology. He was the recipient of an ARCO Academic Excellence Scholarship and USFS CSFTP Award, and has taught courses in groundwater pollution, environmental geology, and hazardous waste geology at UC Berkeley in the Department of Civil Engineering Extension.

He is the senior managing principal of the company, and responsible for business development, contract administration, group management, profit (and loss), group loss prevention programs; scheduling, completion, cost and quality control; client relations, and all aspects of business administration.
